Yes, I’ve experienced “low carb flu” in the past that included horrible headaches.
Some of you participating in the challenge may have just cut your normal daily carbohydrate intake dramatically by removing all grains and sugars from your diet. And, I know some of you are experiencing symptoms of what people call “the low carb flu.” Many people experience a mild version of this when they ask their body to switch from burning primarily carbs as energy to relying on fat as a primary fuel source instead.
For most people, this lasts only a few days, but it can last as long as 1-2 weeks, or slightly more. If you are feeling symptoms, you might need to take it a little easy on your workouts in the gym, and make sure you are getting adequate rest.
